February in numbers...

From the 23rd to the 25th of February, a very cool community event is taking place in Frome. ‘Window Wanderland’ is inviting Frome residents to decorate their windows & light up their homes with imaginative displays. Anything goes! Everyone will then be able to go on magical evening walks and see the fantastic things that have been created. We can’t wait to see it. This really is art for all to enjoy

What better thing to do on Valentine’s Day than go behind the scenes at Somerset’s Secret World Wildlife Rescue & learn more about the amazing rescue & rehabilitation work the guys do there. We love animals, so whether it’s otters, foxes, badgers or birds of prey, we’re really looking forward to discovering more & sharing the unique stories with you, here on the blog

The Luttrell Arms Head Chef, Barrie Tucker, gives us his ‘Four Thoughts’ this month as we chat to him about the beautiful plates of food he creates there. We find out what inspires him & all about his Somerset roots too. Can’t wait to hear what he has to say & we can't wait to eat at The Luttrell Arms in March... to try out Barry's brilliant menu

This month sees the launch of ‘Picture Somerset’ - a photography exhibition we’re curating with artist Donna Vale. To celebrate Somerset Day on May 11th, the exhibition starts then & runs until June 8th at For Every Cloud in Langport. If you love photographing our beautiful county, tag your photos on social media with #picturesomerset or #somersetcool & you could be part of the exhibition
